My ''Assignment"
For me, I have always wanted my job when I am an adult to be an engineer. I have wanted to be this job because i am very good with mechanical objects and building things. I have always been interested in this job because I want to help the world by inventing something that can help people around the world. The profession that makes use of such skills is an engineer because they build alot of things that help people worldwide. I think my parents would choose the same for me because I used to build "interesting" inventions with the Lego's. I would agree with the choice they made because I feel like I have the ability to make a mind-blowing invention that could advance the world we live in today.
Journal Response
In Chapter 1 of The Giver, they gave me a lot of information to retain throughout the book. I predict that the story is based on people who are destined to live a life chosen for them. They are given families with two kids, a wife, and a husband. The people are also further separated into age factions, such as Sevens and Elevens (no pun intended). The main character is Jonas, a child I know rarely about, but I have learned he is excited for December and his friend Asher is always getting trouble. Then, people always visit the community and pilots aren't allowed to fly over the Community. Soon, I feel like these things will correspond into the main story. This is crucial because it explained a lot of the story. While the story develops, we will learn more about Jonas and the Community.
